Heated Seats
Heated seats are a fabulous addition to your vehicle. We live in Michigan and our winters can be quite frigid. Nothing quite beats climbing into your cold vehicle and the seats heating quickly to warm your bottom. Essentially, a heated seat in your automobile is like a heated blanket that wraps around you in freezing temps. Heated Seats Thermostat
There is no need to worry about your heated car seat overheating. The thermostat of your heated seats will do the following:
- The thermostat in your seat does not allow the heating coils to continuously heat
- The thermostat is set to monitor the amount of heat output
- Once the heat reaches the temperature that is set on the thermostat, it stops the relay power
- The relay switch is then closed and the seat does not receive any more power until it cools down
- Once the seats cool off enough, the initial relay is then triggered by the thermostat and the seats are once again heated by the battery
- The thermostat also controls the high and low settings within the heated seats
- The controls allow for several levels of heat control
